Did a lightning rod impale a bald eagle?

An eagle that was wounded by a lightning rod on a 120-foot radio tower at St. George Elementary in MacClenny, Florida, was saved by emergency personnel.

What happened to an eagle stuck on a radio tower?

The eagle was reported to be stranded on top of the tower on Friday, and fire department personnel reacted to the call and notified wildlife officials from the site. According to the MacClenny Fire and Rescue Department’s Facebook post, it was decided that someone would have to climb to the top of the tower to assist the eagle.

Is the impaled eagle being rescued?

Yes, the eagle is being rescued.  According to the fire department, Lt. Garret Williams and Engineer Louis Castle climbed up a 100-foot tower and made their way toward the primary school.

According to the fire department, Castle then descended the ladder’s bucket, ascended the final 20 feet by hooking himself to the tower and utilizing safety gear.

What about the eagle’s health?

The department said that the eagle was in “obvious suffering.”

Castle was able to extricate the bird from its impalement once he reached the summit. After that, it flew downward before being caught by wildlife rescuers.

The health of the eagle has not been updated as of Saturday afternoon, according to the fire department.
